About Patty Merritt

Over the past twenty years Patty has lived in Texas, and has grown to love its southern hospitality and swagger while also taking pride in her Midwestern roots. Since beginning her career with the world’s largest performance improvement company, Patty has been passionate about helping people reach their potential. She has worked with thousands of leaders facilitating workshops in the areas of leadership, management development, effective communication, and team building. As the field of coaching began to emerge, Patty found the opportunity to leverage her dedication to help improve organizations by working with their leaders to maximize potential. In 2008, she created Mind the Gap with her good friend and now business partner, Beth Anagnos. Together, they created a systematic coaching program, The Leadership Practicum, that encompasses leadership self-awareness, communication skills, and an accountability/sustainment plan. Their program has strengthened leaders in various industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, IT and financial services. Patty has a B.S.B.A. in Economics from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Saint Louis University. She is also a certified coach through the International Coach Federation. When she’s not working, Patty’s other interests include yoga, reading good novels, travel, snow skiing, and spending time with her family and friends.
